Team Leader Electrical & Industrial Automation

What does the role entail?

As a Team Leader Electrical & Industrial Automation, you will be responsible for planning and organizing the work and managing the employees within the Electrical Engineering and Industrial Automation team. Additionally, you will coordinate the electrical work performed by contractors, ensuring that projects are completed according to agreements and that the correct and safe operation of the installations is guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guiding, motivating, and stimulating employees within the E&IA team.
  • Coaching employees in developing their skills and competencies.
  • Ensuring knowledge transfer and training of employees.
  • Determining the nature, scope, costs, required man-hours, and duration of technical work resulting from projects, modifications, proposals for improvements, or maintenance plans.
  • Actively supporting projects, modifications, proposals for improvements, and work requests within the E&IA team.
  • Assessing the technical feasibility of requested work.
  • Establishing, in consultation with the requester, the urgency, order of work, timing, and duration of execution.
  • Preparing and finalizing work orders in consultation with production or third parties.
  • Keeping track of capacity planning.
  • Supporting and possibly fulfilling the role of technical project leader for modifications and work requests.
  • Ensuring coordination with other departments, such as engineering, regarding agreements made.
  • Participating in (multidisciplinary) project teams and managing technical projects and modifications.
  • Ensuring the execution of (preventive) maintenance, revision, and repair work in the electrical and automation field.
  • Evaluating the condition of equipment/installations and signaling (imminent) defects.
  • Consulting technical specialists for specialized interventions.
  • Making recommendations for improvements and optimization of installations in the electrical field.
  • Contributing to the formation of vertical start-ups in projects and modifications.
  • Stimulating and independently making recommendations for standardization of machines and maintenance, as well as improvements in safety and hygiene.
  • Checking documentation related to executed work.
  • Overseeing the registration of executed work, hour accountability, and special circumstances.
  • Working on strategies and implementing improvements for building and control installations, including control software.

Ingredients that make you who you are:

  • HBO work and thinking level, in electrical engineering and/or industrial automation
  • VCA VOL certificate (or willing to obtain this)
  • Knowledge of Eplan
  • Knowledge of Frame project management
  • Experience with ERP and MMS (maintenance management systems)
  • Knowledge of HACCP, safety, and hygiene
  • Good command of Dutch and English; command of German is a plus
